Hotel Indigo Ribbon Cutting Was Well Attended

Photos by Julie Palmer-Saur and George Zhouf of Jump Wedding Photography

Hotel Indigo, Asheville's newest “boutique” hotel, had its Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting last night. Owners, Denny Pearson and Dennis Goodwin, Mayor Bellamy, Richard J. Lutovsky, President and CEO of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, and Local, world renown artist, Jonas Gerard, were among the honored guests.

After a few words by the guest speakers, Mayor Bellamy graciously welcomed Hotel Indigo into the Downtown Asheville community and with the Chamber's over sized (real) metal scissors, cut the ribbon and officially opened Hotel Indigo.

What does this have to do with weddings, you may ask, well even though the hotel doesn't have a huge ballroom for large receptions, they can accommodate a small wedding either in their PHI Bar and Bistro or in one of their upper floor condos featuring the best view in Asheville. More on this later. Hotel Indigo also offers a block of rooms for wedding guests. This hotel is particularly convenient to the St. Lawrence Basilica that is just 1 block away.
